What Is MyTVOnline?

MyTVOnline is the IPTV player Formuler builds into its Z-series boxes. It has no channels of its own: you connect it to your IPTV plan, and it shows live channels, a full TV guide and on-demand sections. Recent versions accept Xtream Codes details, the quickest method. Every version also supports the portal method, where we register the box's MAC address instead.

Part 1

Prepare the box

    Plug in Ethernet

    Connect a network cable from your router to the box if you can. Formuler boxes stream 4K most reliably over a wired connection.

  2. 2

    Install any software update

    Open the box's Settings and look for the system or software update option. Install anything waiting, then let the box restart.

  3. 3

    Open the player from the home screen

    Select the built-in player's icon on the Formuler home screen. If you ever remove it, it can be reinstalled from Formuler's own app market on the box.

Part 2

Add your connection

Version 3 calls these Connections; version 2 lists them under Content Sources or Add Portal. The steps are the same idea.

    Open Connections and choose Add

    Press the menu button on the remote, open Connections and select Add.

  2. 5

    Pick Xtream Codes

    Choose Xtream Codes from the connection types. Only see Portal? Your version uses the portal method: choose it, and in the next step enter the portal URL we email you after registering your MAC address.

  3. 6

    Enter your details

    Give the connection a name, then enter the server URL, username and password from your activation email. The remote's number pad speeds up the digits in the URL.

    For the portal method, the box's MAC address is shown on the same screen. Send it to us through the contact form and we'll reply with your portal URL.

    Connect and wait

    Select Connect. The first load fetches every channel group, the guide and the on-demand lists, so give it a minute or two.

Part 3

Guide, favorites and recording

    Open the guide

    Press the Guide or EPG button on the remote. If listings are empty, refresh the guide from the connection's options and check that the box's time zone is right.

  2. 9

    Build a favorites group

    Highlight a channel, press the menu button and add it to favorites. Your favorites group then opens first, ahead of hundreds of channels.

  3. 10

    Record to a USB drive

    On models with recording, plug in a USB drive or SD card, then press the record button on a live channel or schedule a program from the guide.

Formuler hardware is built for live TV, and a few settings get the most out of it, especially during busy evenings and big games.

No. The player comes with Formuler boxes. You only need an IPTV plan to watch channels in it.
Version 3 is the newer release with a refreshed interface. Your box gets whichever version Formuler releases for it through software updates, and both work with our plans.
It's printed on the label under the box and shown in the player when you add a portal connection, as well as in the box's About settings.
